Last week Dettori was walking round Aintree loving every minute of it as part of the television coverage, yesterday he reminded us why he is still one of the top jockeys with a masterclass of how to ride Newbury.

The Don has never lost faith in the little maestros skills and yesterday morning my members were told to place a strong each way bet on Muhaarar in the Greenham @ 20/1 with Dettori booked. The forgotten horse of the race despite being the Gymcrack winner and for my eyes hating the soft ground he raced on last time as a two year old. There was certainly no soft here yesterday and Dettori travelled like a dream before asserting for an easy win.

That is the sort of big priced big race winner I can dig out for you time and time again!

Geoffrey Chaucer had his problems last year and was given a long break but I remember the high regard Aiden held him in and I understand his work is still of the highest quality. I think he may remind us he is a serious racehorse today in the 4.20 at the Curragh. I'm backing him to win at 9/2 with Skybet.
