WARNING - POSSIBLE FRAUD SYSTEM ALERT

13th November 2017

Hello

How to spoil a good weekend

I was enjoying my weekend with my 3 grandsons the youngest of whom (age 2) was trying to teach me how to tackle so I could play rugby! My dilemma is to see what odds the bookies will offer on him playing for England one day!

But the fun was interrupted by the arrival of an email telling me that an old "friend" is apparently trying to promote his dodgy scheme under another name.

Some 6 months ago I was advised of a syndicate betting scheme being promoted by one John Hughes under the name Aspire Racing Multi Syndicate. To any seasoned bettor the alarm bells would have been ringing immediately as the offer made high profit claims and offered no evidence of success. A smart printed invitation was clearly designed to draw people into the scheme where you send Hughes your cash and he will then invest it for you in the daily horse racing selections he provides.

The initial offer certainly drew in a significant number of investors and after I asked for more information from the public I found that tens of thousands had been sent to the scheme. Hughes managed to lose all this but then had the cheek to ask his subscribers for more but also appeared to start a new offer under the name Genesis Racing Systems. I published a thread on Bet World Reviews covering the position in more detail.

Both the Financial Conduct Authority and Gambling Commission were advised of the apparently illegal attempts to raise investment cash but both have done as much as they usually do (nothing) and I am also aware that the matter has been reported to Action Fraud by several investors but at this point have no information on the progress of the investigation.

So I was horrified to learn that Hughes appears to have started yet another scheme on the same lines as his previous efforts. The name has now been changed to The Mayfair Pro-Syndicate with a swanky London address to try and engender confidence but everything is pretty much the same down to the bank where he asks you to send the funds.

This link will show you the first page of the invite he is currently sending out: Invite

I would ask members to do 2 things – if you receive such an invite or are aware of any others who have do NOT even consider accepting. Please also email me with the details if you have invested and I will provide you with the details of the Action Fraud investigation so you can add to the list there. Only by taking action like this can we put an end to the activities of this man.

A more detailed article covering this subject will be posted on the Bet World Review site later today so please add your comments there too. It will be in the Investigations section of the site.

Thanks for reading this and if you are aware of any other suspect betting offers please le me know so I can check it out.
