Hi ,

Well it appears Frank De Boer has won the sack race as the first Premier league manger to be given the elbow this season. To me I find this scandalous after only four games. I happened to watch the game on Sunday against Burnley where one back pass caused the Palace defeat.

The amount of chances the Eagles had they should have won comfortably and to my mind it’s the players who should be worrying about their jobs not the manager who was one of the Dutch great players of his era. I see Roy Hodgson has been given the reins with a promise of a huge bonus if he keeps them up.

The racing so far this week has been of very poor quality and the B.H.B. really do have to look at ways of putting on better cards for the early part of the week. Even todays Wednesday cards look no better than average and it’s lucky we have the Doncaster St Ledger meeting to look forward to as the week progresses.

As for today I’m going in the opener at Kempton the 5.45 for Howies Hottie on Major Crispies. It’s a 6 furlong claimer and David O’Meara sends the gelding South to try and get his head in front. I think the trip will suit he is well drawn and has won off of a higher rating in the past.

EYE-CATCHERS

FLAT

Dream Start trainer K.Ryan - I got the impression he needed the run and might just prefer a slightly shorter trip.

Peter Park trainer C.Cox - Another who looked big in the paddock and should improve on this latest effort.

Star of Rory trainer T.Dascombe - Ran a good race when 2nd on Saturday and now he has been gelded he can get back to winning ways.

Back next Wednesday be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
