21st March 2017

Hi ,

Well last Tuesday’s newsletter had the first day of Cheltenham. It was a little nervy at times as the first day traditionally for us has never been great. Mainly because we don’t follow Mullins hot pots. There is just no value in them and over a longer period we would record losses if we followed them all.

However this year we really hit the ground running with 3 big winners APPLES JADE advised 9/2, TIGER ROLL 16/1 & TULLY EAST 12/1. I think TULLY EAST was the horse I enjoyed shouting home the most as he had been on our horses to follow list as a potential star and we have watched his work all season long. A really nice horse and great work by all the team to get him to Cheltenham in that kind of form.

The 2nd day was quieter with MITE BITE gaining some compensation for us at 7/2 but only getting there by a nose! He was the only winner on the day but we advised SIR VALENTINO be backed each way at 50/1 and he duly obliged with a great 3rd place. There were only a few highlighted horses on the day so we still made a good profit.

Day 3 saw our best day yet where in the 2:50 race we backed 8/1 SUBLIETENANT e/w after making EMPIRE OF DIRT a huge negative the horse ran well to come 2nd we also had the 3rd home ASOs who was a huge 80/1 when we backed him each way. We did say our ratings showed him to be on the improve!

Then we made UKNOWWHATIMEANHARRY a negative too although we didn’t find the winner. Next up a big winner 16/1 ROAD TO RESPECT ran a game solid race and added to our building pot. Then tragedy as TOE THE LINE fatally falls. Such a shame as his stable held this fella in such high regard that we thought the 28/1 we had taken was one of our best bets of the day. Our hearts go out to all involved.

Then up steps DOOMSDAY BOOK 40/1! Winner in the KIM MUIR not only that but we also highlighted a big run from the 2nd horse home PENDRA at 16/1. We could only manage a place from a handful of bets on what was a very unlucky last day for us but we were already clear at this point so only a little was given back. Over all a really good festival plenty of big winners and the best part that we did all this for our members totally free of charge with a report sent daily.

Not much about today sadly we are not having a bet on the account after 20/1 advised winner yesterday has put us straight.

TUESDAY’S HORSES IN FOCUS

EXETER 3:05 MAGICAL THOMAS 9/2 is the one to be interested in here connections fancy him to go in today. It may not be smooth sailing though as our ratings give a chance to ORIONS MIGHT 20/1. There is another interesting runner in 33/1 outsider THE KINGS WRIT he has shown a big improvement last run and may do better still.

4:50 PINNACLE PETER looks a decent enough price at 10/1 he looks to be a bit of value as does HOWS VIENNA at 14/1. The horse at the top of our ratings though is going to be the bet that is TOUCH SCREEN 18/1. I think the market has totally skipped over his form and as such a horse that we had down as a respectable 8/1 shot is trading over double that amount. Now that is a bargain!

SOUTHWELL 2:10 At first glance It’s hard to look past the favourite Brigadoon here after his demolition job last time but we have had a word for MISTER BOB 9/2 also EURATO has much better ratings than the favourite and at 7/1 is a much better price to. I would put these as two against the field and hope Brigadoon flops.

2:40 BUSY STREET was a tip of ours last run that was a value price and he finished a good 2nd that should be enough to see him get home in front today but 11/8 is much shorter than we would like and as such I can’t back the horse today.

4:25 I don’t want to follow SUPASTA off a cliff but it was a big word last time so I have to stick with him today 11/2 in places is a positive. He should go close today.

WETHERBY 3:25 CAIUS MARCIOUS 5/1 looks a decent bet in this race and connections think a big run is in order and the price looks about right for a dabble.

Back Next Tuesday.

Best Wishes,

Matt
