Hi ,

A really good news letter last week threw up plenty of decent priced winners. In one race we even selected the first 3 home. The biggest disappointment on the day was the head strong COTSWOLD ROAD that decided he didn’t really want to race on the day and refused to run. Connections were very disappointed but told me not to lose faith as he has a big engine and one day soon he should put it together. At least he should be a decent price.

He was entered for Fontwell today but connections didn’t like the way the race cut up and will find him an easier task. All in all though it was a great day for us and everyone who follows our horses in focus.

Let’s get straight to business with… Tuesdays Horses in Focus

AYR 3:20 The market makes this race something of a match between MUMGO’s DEBUT and CASUAL CAVELIER and as such neither represent anything like value today. I would rather be with TRUST THOMAS at 7/1 or the young LAS TUNAS at 10/1 with Ladbrokes. Both represent a bit of value.

4:20 MASTER RUFFIT looks a little overpriced for this race at 5/2 we make him clear of the rest on speed ratings and by some way too. I normally like 7/4 about this kind of profile so 5/2 works for me. Last year the horse ran 2 good races in a row so I am hoping he can replicate that over a course and distance he won over last time.

FONTWELL 2:00 BOUNDS HILL is becoming a bit of a cliff horse for us but has run eye-catchingly well on his last 2 starts and the drop down in distance today looks ideal for him to get a win 11/2 is fair but not exciting. There are plenty of challengers though. Not least MISS BENEFITZ 10/1 will hill. My speed ratings would put ARISTOCLES in with a shout too and 33/1 with bet 365 is rather tempting.

3:30 THE MIGHTY DON likes it here and comes out best on our ratings. Still lightly raced and open to plenty of improvement 10/3 looks a very fair price. He should be near at the business end that’s for sure.

NEWCASTLE 2:10 POUR L’AMOUR is a good price, the last run was good enough to take this in a race that has little depth. She is an improving filly and according to connections she should take all the beating today. 6/1 looks fair but I would worry about the Fahey horse too.

2:40 ROMAN DE BRUT is from the same stable as the horse above and would also have good claims today, 10/1 looks good value and an e/w double could prove a decent bet. SHADOW SPIRIT should out run her odds over her optimum trip on breeding 33/1 is a big price with 7lb taken off.

4:10 HORSED KEYNES at 10/1 looks worth a punt his stable are in really good form and the horse has fallen down the weights. He has run some great races in the past and has had a few issues on the way. He should go well.
