Hi ,

One thing that struck me about our domestic football season is the total lack of respect some of our Premier league managers have for the F.A.Cup. Three that quickly spring to mind are Eddie Howe, Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes. They either put out weakened teams or show very little interest in motivating there players against lower league opponents.

Bournemouth are the prime example after being the equal of Arsenal in a league game they put out a virtual reserve side who take a thumping beating by Millwall. These teams have no European commitments so you would think they would give it everything to get to Wembley if not for themselves then for their fans. It would appear all they are interested in is money and protecting their league status.

Last week I went to a great show at my local theatre featuring Phil Tufnell and Johnathan Agnew. It featured some wonderful stories by Tuffers and Aggers about cricket, television shows that Tuffers was involved with and in particular Test Match tours. If they come to a theatre near you it comes highly recommended.

We had a super day with my Eye-Catchers yesterday with Pancake Day 5/1 and Big Amigo 10/3 both winning and landing a handsome double. This service is profitable and low risk as all we laid out on the day was a total of 3 points. You see you don’t have to have lots of bets and all 5 pointers to make decent profits in racing.

Well we had a cracking run from last weeks Howies Hottie when Pool House finished 2nd at big odds so lets see if we can find another value each way tip. The one that catches my eye is Moccasin 3.0 Newcastle.

This is a 10 furlong bottom grade affair which won’t take much winning. Moccasin ran better last time at Wolverhampton than his finishing position suggests as he was slow away and had to come very wide into the straight to make his challenge so in the circumstances did well to only be beaten by about 6 lengths. The old gelding has won off of much higher marks in his prime and in this grade he could be hard to kick out of the frame.

HOT HANDICAPPERS

ARTIFICIAL SURFACES

Sirens Cove trainer K.Slack - Not been with this yard long the horse looks to be running into form.

Upavon trainer S.Williams - Ran very well over 5 furlongs last time but really better with an extra furlong.

Marshgate Lane trainer N.Mulholland - I’m not quite sure what the trainer is playing at as they seem to hold the horse up in his races where as he is far better when allowed to race with the leaders. I’m sure there is a race for this one to win before long.

Back next Wednesday be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
