2nd November 2016

Hi ,

It seems the Premier League is hotting up with three teams tied at the top of the table on the same points. Mind you it could turn out to be a very interesting season as I wouldn’t even rule out Man Utd who are down in eighth place at the moment.

You have to agree this is far better than one team romping away with the title as happens virtually every year in Scotland, Spain and Germany.

There was an horrific accident at Kempton this week when four horses came down on the flat track causing mayhem. Freddie Tylicki is in intensive care with serious injuries, Jim Crowley escaped with a broken nose and the other two riders were unhurt.

This shows what a dangerous sport it can be with jockeys putting there lives on the line on a daily basis and if I hear anyone criticising them for a bad ride and talking through their pocket they will get the sharp end of my tongue. Lets all hope Freddie makes a full recovery and is back in the saddle as soon as possible.

Just a quick update on my place betting service Fast Cash Racing to tell you in September it made a profit of £230 and last month £20. I had a few teething problems when it launched with trying to accumulate long winning runs which came unstuck but since concentrating on single place bets where by we increase our stakes slightly after a loser everything is back on a winning track.

Lets face it we all want an edge when we bet and finding selections to place is obviously easier than winner finding especially when Betfair payout 3 places on races with less than 8 runners and they pay 4 places on races with less than 16 runners.

This Saturday we have the Breeders Cup meeting taking place at Santa Anita in California which promises to be a very exciting nights racing. They say Santa Anita with its backdrop the San Gabriel Mountains is the most beautiful track in the World however I’m sure it would have to go some to beat our glorious Goodwood.

For Howies Hottie I’m going to put up Not This Time in the Breeders Cup Juvenile on the dirt track. The son of Giants Causeway is trained by Dale Romans and in the saddle will be Robby Albarado.

Not This Time won by 8 lengths last time after which the rider compared him to some of the greatest American horses and if he is to live up to that billing he has to win on Saturday.

HOT HANDICAPPERS
