25th October 2016

Hi ,

One of our horses to follow for the season runs in the 4.45 at Bangor today. Le Breuil is available at 11/4 in places and the price looks big enough to have a bet. This first run of the season will give connections some idea of what they have on their hands. We think he is a smart horse yet he should improve all year and next year will be in his prime. Worth keeping an eye on for sure!

This is what we said last week

• Le Breuil (FR)
• Age: 4 (Foaled February 18th, 2012)
• Sex: Chestnut Gelding
• Breeding: Anzillero (GER) - Slew Dancer (Fabulous Dancer (USA))
• Trainer: B Pauling
• Owner: Miss Emma Collins

This is a nice young horse. He won his opening bumper by 10l. Richard Johnson was bowled over by the display and if his progress continues he could well go for the champion bumper. Really nice well bred horse. He is entered on the 20th Oct at Carlisle. That race should tell us a lot about how he has been over the summer. This guy could well be a future star.

HORSES TO TAKE FROM LAST TUESDAY

We highlighted a couple of winners last week yet there was a horse that should be taken out of the day. RIPP ORF Stayed on well late in the day to take third – this horse will be much better stepped up in trip. It looks like a winner next time out if they can find a race over 7f or a mile and in time I can see this horse running at a mile and a half. ONE FOR THE NOTE BOOK!

Tuesday’s Horses In Focus

Bangor 2:10 The market makes this a match between EXCELLENT RESULT and KEEP IN LINE and it’s hard to disagree on what we have seen so far. The first named would be the selection after hacking up in a good time at Huntingdon.

3:15 CAPTAIN MCGINLEY hasn’t run for a while but the horse looks to have learned a lot and come forward in his work just lately. Not sure if it will be enough today but certainly one to keep onside. 3/1 is just about enough to make an interest.

4:45 LE BREUIL 11/4 is the selection here.

CATTERICK 3:25 TADAANY 10/1 is the selection here. It’s a tough day at Catterick that’s for sure but this horse just about rates a bit of value in this race.

4:00 MICHAELS MOUNT should be there about according to connections. If he gets away well then he will have every chance and at 8/1 in places he has to be worth a bet today.

4:30 I heard a rumour that HIT THE LIGHTS was in fine fettle at home. 5/1 doesn’t look great on the value front but he does like Catterick. He should leave recent form behind here but I would be cautious about being too heavily involved. It will be an interesting watch for us.

5:05 The market is with COMPTON RIVER and LYDIATE LADY while the first mentioned I’m sure would prefer the ground a little quicker the second named should love it. One horse I have to throw into the mix is KODIMOOR at 12/1 on the exchanges looks like the value. Form behind very first blade is looking pretty good for this class the weight pull with Compton river should see him go close. Despite being 1lb out of the handicap.

NEWCASTLE 7:30 FAINTLY 5/1- Gambling stable have laid this one out for this race. They are shrewd operators so it will be interesting to see if they have judged it right and of course horses can always let you down without warning.

Well that’s it for today. I will give you 3 more jumpers to follow next week. Right now I am setting off to a couple of yards today to look at potential stars for the season. I will give you a full report on these in next week’s newsletter.

Back Next Tuesday.

Best Wishes,

Matt
