Hi ,

Well done Andy Murray for winning his second Wimbledon Title as I’m sure he was under considerable pressure from fans and media during the tournament. I have to say tennis is not one of my favourite sports however a big thank you must go to the Williams sisters especially for the way they entertained when winning the ladies doubles final.

Who would believe it France falling at the final hurdle in the Euros when losing by the odd goal especially after Ronaldo was stretchered off early in the match. It was inspiring to see him hobbling up and down the touch line encouraging his team mates on to victory.

Portugal are not the best team in Europe but they do have a wonderful team spirit, a very strong defence and of course one of the best players on the planet.

I found it interesting reading Matt's Tuesday news letter regarding the mind set of some clients who can’t wait to jump ship during a losing run. I’m afraid some punters only want instant gratification and can’t cope with losing periods. This is a shame as these types will never ever make a success of betting.

You must agree with Matt when he says services that have been with Betfan long term and have made substantial profits over time can not be classed as lucky as it’s the skill and expertise of that service that is responsible.

So I suggest you think twice next time your chosen service is having a poor period.

Howies Hottie today is going at the evening meeting at Yarmouth in the 7.20 a handicap over just short of 12 furlongs. The tip in this 6 runner event is Julia Feilden’s Dakota City who has been in good form on the all weather this year. He has yet to show the same ability on turf but he looks on a decent mark and as long as they go a fast pace he can bring his finishing speed into play up the long Yarmouth straight.

HOT HANDICAPPERS

FLAT

Arty Campbell trainer B.Llewellyn - Big gelding who is running into form.

Hail Clodius trainer R.Hannon - He has been knocking on the door and hopefully it will open before long.

Kentuckyconnection trainer B.Smart - He was 5th in the 2,000gns and wasn’t beaten too far in a high class listed race last week.

Speculator trainer D.Menuisier - 3rd last week and seems to be on a favourable turf mark.

Back next Wednesday be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
