5th July 2016

Hi ,

We haven’t much to report from the week in terms of profits, not much luck plenty of close 2nds and hard luck stories. Beaten a few noses, heads and necks but that’s just the game. The weather isn’t really helping and we often find results difficult during times of changeable weather. It would be nice to see some proper summer ground. There will be plenty of value around when we get that as the form of certain horses will be turned around and not many will see it coming.

It will be interesting to see what this week brings for us in terms of winners. On paper at least our information looks pretty strong this week so I am excited to get cracking we have had our foot a little on break the last few days. Yet of course we will have to see how they fit in the market which is why we make such strong profits.

Today’s card look tough but we will try and crack a few races for you and maybe pull out a winner or two at a decent price there are a few to be interested in…

BRIGHTON 5:40 COOPERESS is top of my speed clock and should give a bold bid today 13/2 in places doesn’t look like the worst bet in the world. EDITH WESTERN could run well at a big price up to 20/1 in places the filly has taken a while to come to herself but she is working better now then she had previously and has filled her frame a bit more. It’s hard to tell whether she will bring it to the track. In any case 20/1 is too big to ignore.

6:10 There has been strong support for MAJORIS to come on from the last run 5/4 looks right. The market has gone crazy about him being a son of Frankel and so they should. One of my great racing memories was being able to get both Tom and Henry to sign a picture I took of Frankel winning the Guineas it made the best Christmas gift for my father. Frankel I think will become a dominant sire I’ve seen plenty of his and there aren’t many I wouldn’t want a leg in. That would make EOLIAN the pick for 2nd or first if Majoris doesn’t win as expected but at 10/1 there could be some value in the forecast.

6:40 Hard race to assess I guess I would go with LONGSIDE at 6/1 I think he is more like a 4/1 chance so making those bets in the long term will result in a profit.

7:10 We pointed out the chance of FRANTICAL in our column last week and he went in at 14/1 he would be in with a chance today too under a penalty. There is a whisper for PATANJALI at 8/1 too and from a stable that like a gamble she looks interesting. Again a slow maturing type that’s coming along she should do much better today.

PONTIFRACT 3:10 SPIRIT RAISER is the one for money here it’s not a confident pick as it’s too tight. MOTHERS FINEST did well to beat SI SENOR a horse we nearly landed a huge gamble on so I would upgrade the winner of that race so she too must stand a big chance.

3:40 I like 2 horses in this race and both are a fair price COMPTON PARK is running back into form we backed him at big odds last time out he came 2nd but didn’t look like the winner at any point but he could win today 12/1 with Coral looks fair. When this horse hits form he is a good type honest a genuine. He has a natural turn of foot but he can only keep it going for about half a furlong. I don’t think the rides he has had have made use of this he really needs hanging on to in a strong run race. The other is BALLYMORE CASTLE 14/1 looks a nice price. Cheek pieces should improve the horse so he may go close.

5:10 STARDRIFTER dropping in class could well be the answer here for the same trainer as BALLYMORE. It’s possible the FAHEY band wagon could roll on today and he could well land a good few winners in a multiple the other trainer today that could get a double would be EVE JOHNSON HOUGHTON she has some interesting horses running and is going well at present. At a bigger price QIBTEE 16/1 we were expecting more from him last race but could pop up at any time according to connections.

UTTOXETER 8:20 ISLA FERNANDOS could well be over priced at 15/2 in places looks more than fair we give the horse 5/1 so it looks like a reasonable bet to us.

WOLVERHAMPTON 2:25 BOGSNOG is well up to winning this at 7/1 his yard are going ok and they look like they might just start to run really well. At a huge price 25/1 COPPER CAVALIER is inconsistent but could win well if he really put it in TASAABOQ warrants plenty of respect too.

Hope you have a great week and please consider getting involved it could well be the start of better things.

Back Next Tuesday.

Best Wishes,
