Hi ,

It has been a great June for us so far with a return on investment of over 88%.

The year is flying by and Royal Ascot already passed. It was a profitable meeting for us thanks to winners on the last day SIR ISAAC NEWTON winning adv at 11/1 kept us in the game after a few days of near misses. Nemoralia came 2nd at 13/2, Furia Cruzada 2nd at 20/1, Michum swagger 3rd 16/1 and Prize money 2nd 15/2. With a bit more luck we could have had a bit more profit!

Royal Ascot is certainly a difficult festival to bet in with so many runners in almost every race. We did well to come out on top. I would watch out for these horses as they could do better and in a weaker race all should have wins in them this season.

No point dwelling in the past so lets have a look at today’s cards.

Not a quality day of racing but it should still be fun and hopefully if you are going to a track this info may help you have a decent day.

BEVERLEY 2:00 SPIRIT OF SAWEN won last time and must have claims again today. I have heard a mention for Michael Dods newcomer PROUD ARCHI at 3/1 and on breeding the trip should be perfect. I wouldn’t be sticking the mortgage money on it that’s for sure.

2:30 SHADOW GAME is improving and around 3/1 would be my idea of the winner but doesn’t offer much in terms of value. Relight my fire should be the main danger but who knows in racing.

3:00 Looks to me that this race could well go to a horse at a price. There are several at larger prices that have chances KUNG HOI FAT CHOY at 20/1 wouldn’t be out of it. Nor would MIRAMONTE DANCER at 7/1. I quite like the chance of SAXON GOLD at 12/1 with Paddy Power and would be my biggest bet at the meeting.

The next 2 races 3:30 and 4:00 are too close to have an opinion on there is very little left in terms of value in the 3:30 ANOTHERLINCONDAY or DEEP BLUE DIAMOND would probably come out best in that respect but I can’t be confident.

4:30 again is too hard to call I would shade it to the fav FRENCH LEGEND as it was a good time last run but up in class won’t help and a much different track here.

5:00 I wouldn’t bet against BROROCCO here at 11/10 looks a bit skinny for me to get heavily involved.

5:30 Another pin dropper many of these horses would have chances on their best form. POPPY IN THE WIND is best on our ratings so I guess that would have to be what sways it.

Brighton 2:15 I wouldn’t bet against FAIR POWER but the horse is a little short.

3:45 SOLVIGS SONG 7/2 would be my idea of the winner and I think that price holds a bit of value to.

4:15 ABERTILLERY 11/2 would have a decent chance just starting to come good at home so I am told could be the best bet of the meeting.

4:45 LUCKY LEYF - This horse is bred for a track like Brighton so I just can’t help having a go at 7/1 or bigger I hope for a large drift in the price as it’s hard to fancy on form. On breeding though I make it a 4/1 chance. It should be a personal best for the horse today. Whether that is good enough to win who knows?

5:45 FLAG OF GLORY could run well at a price 8/1 can be considered value in a race that shouldn’t take much winning.

Newton Abbot Just one horse to be interested in here 6:30 WANDSWICK COURT 9/1 Bet 365 looks a value bet. The horse has been doing plenty at home so it should be a good race. Same connections also have BEGGARS WISH in the 7:00 which could make for a double. There is talk in that race that BLAZING BUCK is pulling double at home but has a long absence to overcome.

LEICESTER 6:10 MONJENI is the one here another Prescott up in trip and I couldn’t put my hard earned on anything else.

6:40 AMBITIOUS ICARUS is slowly coming to form and today could well be the day 7/2 looks fair with the non-runners.
