This match-up could even surpass the heavyweight classic between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.
Gennady Golovkin against Saul Alvarez a week on Sunday in the early hours could be the fight of the decade never mind year.
The hype machine goes into overdrive when tickets and pay-per-view subscriptions have to be sold. However, the bout between Golovkin and Alvarez is a classic that brings together fighters at the top of their game.
The fight is taking place in Las Vegas but there is some substance to go with the style. It is a match-up between two of the best pound-for-pound fighters and the biggest middleweight contest that could be staged.
Golovkin is the marginal favourite but there is so little to choose between the fighters that backing the DRAW could be the best option.
