France Can Win The World Cup Again
France could not beat Luxembourg at 1/100 so it seems strange to tip them to win the World Cup in Russia next summer. However, that goalless draw at home was a freak result because they had 30 shots. Despite this blip France must be backed to win the World Cup for the second time:
Brazil and Belgium have already qualified and England are virtually assured of playing in the World Cup finals in 2018. Wales are in a strong position and even Scotland have an outside chance. Northern Ireland are now odds-against to progress while the Republic are about the same price to qualify from their group.
Only Germany and Brazil have won the World Cup out of their own continent. The South Americans' current generation are not good enough to win a World Cup in Europe. Germany have found a new generation to replace some retired stalwarts and are always competitive when it matters most.
However, France have the players to be the world champions for the first time when not playing at home. They are strong all over the pitch and have players excelling at some of the biggest clubs around Europe peaking at the right time.
