Viva Steve Has The Form To Win The Kerry National
Viva Steve has travelled from Britain to Ireland to run in the Kerry National and has the form to win the highlight of the Listowel Harvest Festival. The horse has not run for over 6 months but has won before after a long absence and is the one to back in this handicap chase over 3 miles.
The race is typical of the major jumps contests in Ireland in that the big owners are well represented. Gigginstown have five runners and four horses are running for JP McManus. Willie Mullins has one runner but he has not trained the winner since 2006. Viva Steve is one of three runners from Britain.
The meeting at Listowel is a seven day festival of Flat and jumps racing. At the start of the week you could have bought our Listowel Harvest Festival Special to cover the complete meeting but today you can get the last four days at half the original price.

The Kerry National has lost much of its interest after the withdrawal of Coneygree due to heavy ground. Ferdy Murphy was the last British trainer to train the winner of the race and he can do it again today with Viva Steve.
