Declans Eyecatchers - This Weeks Horses To Follow...

EPANEEMA (Jim Bolger) - This juvenile filly was sent off at 20/1 on debut at Tipp the other night but came within a whisker of causing a major upset when just pipped by odds on hotpot Sizzling. As the winner has buckets of experience against top rivals it was an astonishing performance first time out by Bolger's filly who will certainly not be so generously priced next time out.

INTIMATION (Sir Michael Stoute) Coped perfectly well with good ground when a possibly unlucky second to Irish Oaks runner up and Breeders Cup prospect Rain Goddess. Has a number of tasty options at the Irish Champions Weekend next Saturday and Sunday.

Austria And Masar Are Today’s Sports Double

Wales were the big overachievers of Euro 2016 and Austria were the big underachievers. Fortunes have moved in opposite directions and Austria are tipped to win their World Cup qualifier in Cardiff today:

Austria to beat Wales at 13/5 with Skybet!

Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey were Wales’s best players at the Euros but both players are struggling with their clubs. Bale in particular brings something special and if his form dips Wales are not the same team.

Austria were quietly fancied to do well in the European Championship finals last summer but it never quite happened. However, they still have enough quality to beat Wales on the road.

The standout bet at Sandown is Masar in the Solario Stakes and the horse has decent form in the context of the race.

Purser won when favourite at Newbury on a first start and will come on for that run. However, Masar was placed at Royal Ascot and has the scope for improvement and is the horse to beat in this race.

Masar (Sandown 2.25pm) at 2/1 with bet365!
