Level Par Could Win The British Open This Year...

When Padraig Harrington won the last Open Championship to be played at Royal Birkdale in 2008 with a winning score of three over par the weather was brutal. Mark O'Meara's level par win ten years earlier was achieved in unseasonably cold weather. The sun shone and it was quite hot in 1991 and 1983 when Ian Baker-Finch and Tom Watson won the Open with scores of eight and nine under.
