Declans Eyecatchers - Future Irish Winners...

BHUTAN (Joseph O'Brien) This Tipp maiden hurdle winner is far from the finished article. He will certainly need to polish up a bit on his jumping, but he has an engine and a good attitude and looks a decent longer term prospect.

CAPTAIN POWER (Eddie Lynam) Clearly has a mind of his own but ran much better without the hood at Fairyhose and dropping back to six furlongs made a big difference too.

DARKEST FLYER (Noel Meade) This 4/7 hotpot managed to get beaten in a race at Ballinrobe that looked a penalty kick. Did meet traffic problems at a crucial stage though - things can get really tight on the inside in the closing stages at that south Mayo venue - and could be worth another chance if dropped back in trip.

EMADEE (Andy Slattery) Made a notable debut when catching Brick By Brick at Naas despite not enjoying much luck in running. Represents a trainer who continually successfully punches way above his weight and gets the very best from his charges.

GUARDIA SVIZZERA (John Oxx) Highly rated at one time, he seemed to have lost his way, but responded well to a smart front running ride by Declan McDonogh to score at Fairyhouse and could make up for lost time now.

MANUKA (Karl Thornton) Never seems really suited by Ballinrobe but always does well there! Clearly much better over hurdles than fences, may reappear on the last day at Galway.

MO HENRY (Adrian Keatley) Has won two from three and really knuckled down at Naas on Wednesday. No surprise if he reappears at Galway and must be respected if he does.

ONLY MINE (Joe Murphy) Always highly rated by her handler, she showed just why in the Yeomanstown Dark Angel Fillies Listed, beating some classy rivals fair and square. The Phoenix Sprint next, or perhaps the Haydock Sprint Cup. Would need to keep improving to beat the colts at that level but every indication that she will.

THE GATECHECKER (Michael Hourigan) Really perked up for better ground at Tipperary when second to Eiri Ne Casca and could be in for a profitable late summer.

We are in for a real treat next week with 7-days of the Galway Festival - I will be tipping every day via my BetKudos Special - click here to find out more!
