Hi ,

A great day for my members on Tuesday with Cartago winning 11/8 and Farsaka also winning 11/8! A very nice double on day one of the Yarmouth three day Eastern Meeting.

If you're missing winners like this now is the time to join the Colonel with a very special offer I have for you.

It's time sensitive so you'll need to act fast to take advantage.

A furious Ralph Beckett was incandescent with rage following the demotion of Simple Verse in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster.

The 8/1 shot had passed the post a head in front of the Aidan O'Brien-trained Bondi Beach but the stewards reversed the result following a lengthy enquiry, much to the astonishment of the trainer, who stated his intention to appeal the result.

"I'm astonished if anything as there is no consistency in the rule," said Beckett.

"We saw only a week ago, one of Stuart Williams' horses, Suzi's Connoisseur I think it was, on the straight course at Ascot got pinned against the rail and Joe Fanning (jockey) had to stand up in his irons and was only beaten half a length. The jockey on the winning horse had come all away across the track, with his stick in the wrong hand, and pinned him against the rail."

"That horse didn't get the race. We lose the race when clearly, what ever way you look at it, both horses leaned on each other. Can you honestly say that it was entirely her fault? Could you put your hand on your heart and say it was her fault in the last half furlong?"

"I don't think I can answer that question - can anybody else? One thing is for certain - we will appeal this. That's all I've got to say on the matter."

Epsom Derby hero Golden Horn (5/4 favorite) kept the Irish Champion Stakes after veering across the track at Leopardstown on Saturday on a day of high drama in the world of Horse racing. His trainer John Gosden said ''l think it was was the shadow of the grand stand and just as the ground gets dark he seems to have run across the line, he was doing quite nicely upto then.''

Treve is now odds on for her record third Arc win after her easy win in France on Sunday, the 2/5 shot looked awesome and ready to make history next month at Paris in the Qatar Prix de I'Arc de Triomphe.

William Hill went 10/11 Treve straight after the race for Longechamp on October 4.

The very speedy Don't Touch has been the subject of a big gamble this week for the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup 8/1 from 12/1 with the sponsors a big run is fully expected by connections on Saturday.

Yours in sport.

Back Next Thursday.
