This week the European Tour pitches up in Paris for the 101 st Open de France at Le Golf National the setting for next years Ryder Cup.

One of the best courses in Europe it provides a very tough test of all aspects of a players game

Thick rough, water, and very quick undulating greens all make for very exciting golf and it should be a fascinating watch.

One player who should relish the course and whose game is being brought to the ball intimate for the Open Championship is Matthew Fitzpatrick.

One of the most accurate drivers on tour and with a terrific short game this difficult course should see him come to the fore.

He can be a little sulky on the course but the team around him are trying to correct that and I make him a terrific bet to win this week.
