A fabulous day up at York yesterday as we landed a huge gamble with the Ellison trained Top Notch Tonto under a brilliant ride from SDS!!

I told all my clients to go max each way early Saturday morning and revealed to them that York races were being a little wide off the mark regarding the weather. I was awoken in the hotel by torrential rain at 3am. I could almost hear Brian Ellison cheering in Malton 20 miles away because Top Notch Tonto and rain go together like Champagne and Stawberries. Luckily I had a copy of Andy Bell's diary so I was able to quickly get back to sleep.

On Saturday morning I felt sure Top Notch Tonto would be 5/1 given the huge puddles yet 14/1 was available. It was max bet time. The reason the service is over a thousand points up is based on me over time putting my customers ahead of the game.

The race itself went to plan and De Sousa passed the whole field in style to win easily. Job done, cash made and we move on.

I'm staying up North to take in Donny and I suggest in the final race the 5.20 you back the Newmarket raider My Strategy at 15/2 with Bet Bright. He is in form and was a good third last time. Michael thinks he is progressing nicely.
