It was the 20th June and at 8 am I’d got to my computer with a view on a certain horse. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute this horse had won well in the Yorkshire Cup and as I’m always one for keeping a notebook this looked primed for it’s next race.
Here’s the write up in the Racing Post of that win at York –
“Held up in touch, headway over 4f out, led over 2f out, ridden well over 1f out, driven inside final furlong, kept on gamely towards finish (tchd 11/4)”
As I always do I’d analysed the conditions of Snow Sky’s next race and this looked perfect. I couldn’t believe that it was as big as 14/1 to back.
This was massive value and sure to repeat it’s easy win from last time out. I went about getting several hundred quid down on it. I decided to go each way about him, as it was a very competitive race.
Ten minutes before the off he was available to back at 15’s on the exchanges so decided to go in again for a few hundred quid.
Here’s the write up from the Racing Post for this race –
“Made all at steady pace, quickened tempo from 3f out, about 3 lengths clear entering final furlong, ran on well, won decisively (op 11/1 tchd 10/1)”
He won by over three lengths. I had won over 5 grand and was feeling thrilled! That’s not the only time I’d had that buzz though.
