Pivotal Week In The Premier League

Manchester City took the first step to winning four trophies while Liverpool stuttered to another draw. Both teams have winnable home matches in the Premier League on Wednesday which could be pivotal. City will be too strong for West Ham but Liverpool on current form could drop points against Watford. At the weekend City should win at Bournemouth but Liverpool won’t be given an inch in the Merseyside derby away at Everton. In a week’s time the table could look different so now is the time to back MANCHESTER CITY at 8/15 with bet365 to win the title.

There are no matches in the Premier League this evening but the biggest fixture in the East Midlands is live on television. Nottingham Forest’s home match against Derby will have an extra edge because of the high profile managers. Martin O’Neill and Frank Lampard are in the men in charge and their sides are on the periphery of the playoffs. O’Neill should be in a stronger position because NOTTINGHAM FOREST are tipped to beat their local rivals at 29/20 with Ladbrokes.

It is the 3rd ODI between West Indies and England starting at 1.30pm today in Grenada. The series score is 1-1 after England were successful in a run chase in the first match but came up short in the second meeting trying to match a much lower total. England have won seven of their last 10 50 overs matches while the hosts have lost six in 10. England are long odds-on to go ahead in the series but represent no betting value. There is very little recent form at the venue but recent trends suggest a high scoring match so the bet is OVER 554.5 RUNS at 8/11 with bet365.

The Cheltenham Festival begins in two weeks so the racing at the weekend is like the calm before the storm. Bookmakers are now offering non runner/no bet for the Festival which means if a backed horse is withdrawn stakes are refunded. Ante post betting is usually fraught with danger but from now you will get a run or a refund. There should be more concessions and odds boosts in the lead up to the first race two weeks tomorrow, the Supreme Novices Hurdle. Al Dancer is the favourite but at the prices ARAMON offers some value based on his Irish form at 10/1 with Ladbrokes.
