Hi ,

The domestic football season approaches its final couple of furlongs with Tottenham creeping up on the rails to try and mug Chelsea on the line. It could go either way and with them both meeting next Saturday in the F.A.Cup semi final perhaps the winners will have the momentum behind them.

Congratulations to Brighton and Hove Albion to give them their full name for gaining promotion to the Premier League. Chris Hughton has done a great job in securing promotion after they missed out last year on goal difference. They used the transfer market to great effect buying wisely within their budget. Lets face it any idiot could manage the two Manchester clubs or Chelsea with the money they throw at the wall. The Seagulls have a mastermind as chairman in Tony Bloom who knows more about making money with low risk than anyone else on the planet. I reckon with Teresa May calling an election she should appoint Tony as Chancellor as he would soon reduce the countries debt deficit compared to the buffoons we have had running things for the last thirty years.

While we are still talking about the Championship I sincerely hope that Newcastle don’t blow it as in my opinion manager of the year is Raffa Benitez as here is a man who has won the Champions League, managed Real Madrid and Liverpool and was prepared to move into a lower tier division to manage the Magpies. Lets face it could you ever imagine Conte, Mourinho, Wenger or Guardiola doing similar? They deserve success for the manager and the most loyal wonderful fans I have ever seen.

Its been a super week for my Betting Opportunity with Kimberella romping home for us on Good Friday and then Carbon Dating winning on Saturday at 12/1. We all but had the double up when Grey Britain was pipped in a photo at 33/1. The place double made over 33 points and if the flying grey had won we would have made over a 1,000 points for a 1 pt each way double.

Now that’s what I call proper tipping. Betting Opportunity has been with BetFan now for over 4 years and has achieved over 1,100 points profit all for mostly 1 and 2 point bets giving us a very healthy return on investment that even Tony Bloom would be proud of so instead of looking for these new tipping services that come out of the woodwork surely you can see it’s pure common sense to join or stick with a service that is proven over the years.

Lets face it if you were looking for a job or were going to work as an affiliate would you prefer to work for some start up company or a tried and tested firm with years of profits and success behind them? Well it’s exactly the same when choosing a tipping advisory service to join.

Some very interesting racing is taking place this week at Newmarket especially for those of us looking for clues for the season ahead. I mean a lot of guess work is going on with horses making their seasonal debuts and I’m going to play the guessing game with Howies Hottie as I’m going to suggest a nibble on Martyn Meades Eminent for the Craven Stakes on Thursday and to back the horse each way for the 2,000gns in early May.

The colt was the first son of Frankel to win over the Rowely mile as a juvenile and the whispers are he has matured and grown. So at a tasty 33/1 for the classic he represents a little bit of value.

HOT HANDICAPPERS

FLAT

Plead trainer A.Watson - Ran on well at Nottingham to make the frame from a wide draw.

Einstein trainer Ilka Gansera-Leveque - Ran well last time from a reduced mark and might be best at a mile.

Sutter County trainer M.Johnston - Never managed to hit the boxes at Lingfield and was then hampered. He is better than his finishing position.

Panther Patrol trainer Eve Johnson-Houghton - Ran well at Brighton and his rating continues to fall.

Back next Wednesday be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
