Hello and welcome to another Tuesday newsletter. We hope you all had a very enjoyable Christmas and that you were all well behaved enough to get a visit from Father Christmas. We certainly were and Santa brought us news of 2 horses running on Boxing Day. Both of these were from the Harry Wittington stable and both priced at very healthy odds of 14/1.

DUKE OF MEDINA ran a screamer but we just felt the jockey had kicked a flight too soon and he got collared for 1st and ended up half a length 2nd. Then the 2nd horse ran a recent recruit for the stable bought from France. AFFAIRE D’HONNEUR again the horse ran really well but could only manage 2nd place.

There will be races to be won with both of these two so I would pop them in your notebooks. I wouldn’t be surprised if AFFAIRE D’HONNEUR steps up in distance next time but we think is the horse with more scope.

Yesterday we ended in profit yet we could have had even more of the bookies money in our pockets but for failing by a nose on MAC’S POWER - another horse to watch out for he’s back down at a weight he can win off and the connections were rather bullish towards his chance yesterday.

We have a good few value bets out today for our members the smallest price was around 6/1 and the largest 12/1.

Now we often mention jockeys to follow and JAMES REVELEY is the Jockey we want to highlight this week. He has been riding in France over the last few months and his strike rate there is pretty good. Those wins build confidence and he is about to come into good form over here. He has some good rides lined up for today at DONCASTER and also for New Year’s Day at MUSSELBURGH. He is especially potent when riding for his dad Keith. We think that his most interesting ride today is BALMUSETTE in the 13:45 DONCASTER priced at 8/1 last night when we sent our bets to members.

We backed the horse last time out at huge odds of 33/1 for him to run a good race in 4th. That race was only his 2nd back from a break and was over a distance that was deemed a little too sharp! Today he steps up in distance. He is fit and well and hopefully can get his head in front.
