Trainers To Follow In The Coming Week – By High Roller Racing

Posted on 8th January 2019 @ 11:30 am

I have noticed that there are three trainers showing good form and worthy of our consideration in the next week or two.

A trainer who is in excellent form is Neil Alexander who trains up in the North and who has been firing in winners galore over the New Year. It is usual for this yard to hit form at this time of the year so it’s not just one of those things as this is the normal progress they show at this time of year. Neil has a decent quantity of entries during the coming days and we should watch and consider all his entries. Interest entries are Dance of Fire and Ballynanty who both have a few entries. One of his entries this week is Off The Hook who really looks as if she will win soon and we need to see where she is declared to run as she should have a huge chance wherever she goes. Look for the entries and declarations of Neil Alexander and it could pay big dividends at this time of year.

Karl Burke normally starts the year slowly but as yet had one winner from six runners and one place so it seems his horses are looking to find opportunities early this year. Karl has a few entries that if you check them out it could be pleasing. He has a few entries at Lingfield on Wednesday including Dancing Ballerina and So Hi Storm who if they run could be worth considering in their respective races. Again this stable looks as if they are worth following but consider their entries and declarations before plunging on.

Willie Mullins has started the year well but Willie always seems to be in form! Even when he has the odd lull in form the team seems to fix the problem and they comeback stronger that ever. French Made a French import may run at Clonmel this week… she has a big reputation to live up to but she is in the right yard to do that. Willie also has Billaway entered in the ‘hunters’ race at that Clonmel race and could step up to the winners enclosure. Whatever Willie runs you need time to compare his huge amount of entries per week and where the horses are declared to run. So do your homework and it could pay dividends.

Tuesday’s Horses In Focus – By Unity Racing Investments

A nice winner on last weeks Newsletter with NORMAL NORMAN 9/1. That got the new year off to a great start! It hasn’t ended there. We have been in great form. Plenty of winners and most of our losers have run well which is always great for the confidence! Nothing worse then a tip coming in last!

These are our January stats 17.03 Total Points 100.15% Return on Investment and a 29.41% Strike Rate.

We are very confident of a big year to add to our 5 year end profits. So far from 2014 – 2018 we have done the business over the long term with an 18% overall ROI.

Anyone who reads my column regularly (and has a good memory) will know I wrote a column about a sire called Johann Quatz. He was the sire to Geordieland who finished runner up to Yeats in the gold cup twice and came 3rd once in a great effort. However what I did say in that newsletter was that a bit of class is regularly passed down with this bloodline and I expect the same from Geordieland! He has been busy at stud yet his progeny should get better with age. 4-7 being optimal. He had 2 winners last week and I expect he will have plenty in the future.

Next week I will share a list of the horses he has that I think could be really nice types.

Today we have 3 bets out on the main service if you want to get involved then please sign up.

Newcastle 6-15 Handicap (Class 6) 5f – POPPYINTHEWIND 5/1 with paddy power looks ready to strike a much improved effort. Her last race gave a great speed figure that should put her in the frame and she does have a tenacity that will see her go close.

Newcastle 7-15 Handicap (Class 5) 5f – LORD OF THE GLEN 6/1 runs here for Jim Goldie he is below his last winning mark which came over this track and trip and a slight ease in grade should see him go close. I would think 2 each way bets and an each way double on the 2 selections should yield a tasty profit.
