Real Madrid Are In Trouble In Spain

These are worrying times for Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo. The team are a massive 19 points behind Barcelona in La Liga. Madrid are outside the Champions League qualifying places while their talisman and star striker is not delivering. Ronaldo has scored 289 goals in 279 matches for his current club but only four in 14 fixtures this season. Today’s home match against Deportivo La Coruna is now a must-win meeting but 1/9 is ridiculously short for a team out of form. It’s a speculative bet but not to be missed so the recommendation is a small stake on DEPORTIVO to beat Real Madrid at 25/1 with Ladbrokes.

There are two race meetings in Britain today offering total prize money of about £100,000 over 14 races while the two feature contests at Thurles in Ireland have prize funds of the same amount. Sunday racing on the mainland is moderate fare but across the Irish Sea many big races over jumps and on the Flat take place on the seventh day of the week. The richest race of the day is a Grade 2 novice chase for mares at Thurles (3.20pm) and the highest rated horse is Dinaria Des Obeaux trained by Gordon Elliott. The horse is a useful chaser and the trainer is banging in the winners for fun. It’s a good opportunity to double your money because DINARIA DES OBEAUX can be backed at Evens with Coral.

The Masters is the most prestigious non-ranking snooker tournament of the year. Today’s final over 19 frames brings together Mark Allen and Kyren Wilson who were both underdogs in their semi-final matches. Allen beat John Higgins 6-3 and Wilson came from 5-2 down to beat Judd Trump in the deciding frame. That means there will be a first-time winner of the Masters. Wilson looked gone but an outrageous missed attempt at a pot by his opponent turned the match which made it a bad day for more than one Trump. Allen is the favourite in the final but WILSON is preferred and you can back him at 13/10 to win the match and Masters.

Best Wishes,
