It’s Epsom Derby festival starting on Friday and as a bonus for our members we will be doing a horses to follow write up for each day of the meeting with news and views from our connections and what our own ratings and speed figures tell us.
Last year’s Derby Day was the best tipping day we have ever experienced and we have had some big ones like Quinteo at 100/1 as a free bet for our members. Yet this was something quite special we had a feeling on Derby Day that we may go close with a few but we couldn’t believe what had happened 6 bets placed and 5 bets won!
- GAWDAPALIN won 33/1
- EPSOM ICON won 8/1
- GREEN DOOR lost (but did win after his next race)
- HARZAND won the Derby at 11/1
- GREEN LIGHT won at 16/1
- BLAINE won at 12/1.
Indeed we made a killing on the day it was the biggest win of my career and paid me 10 times the annual salary of a UK worker all tax free. Although I did donate a fair portion to some great causes.
One of our members wrote to me to tell me he had bagged £40,000 from a small multiple on the day.
It could well pay off joining us today to make sure you don’t just read about these stories but can be part of the action. We already have our list of Derby day horses so we are hoping for more of the same over a track that has served us well over the years.

Tuesday’s Horses In Focus
LEICESTER 1:50 Short priced favourite here in WESTERLAND and despite the money pouring on the horse will need to have improved plenty. I think the value is GEORGE each way at 8/1.
2:50 RAG TATTER 9/2 and KINGS ACADEMY 8/1 are two to concentrate on here they come out best at the ratings and at the weights. I think one of them should win I think the 7lb claim off KINGS back should sway the verdict to that horse.
3:20 Plenty of chances in this race and that will make things tough but I am going to stick my neck out for SAYEM at 20/1. I think that run at Lingfield was really good and if she handles the surface I think that is a huge price. I would go each way for safety.
4:50 JOHN JOINER looked like he needed the run last race but it’s EMJAYEM at 33/1 that we will give a shout for, the horse has a decent strike rate and after shedding a few pounds can make his presence felt here. That would be the selection but get on quick connections are having a bit on each way today.
LINGFIELD 4:10 Brother Tiger is favourite but we quite like the 3 largest price horses SANDFRANKSKIPSGO, COMEON DAVE and TAILWIND. I think COME ON DAVE at 10/1 makes the most appeal to jump out and make all. He deserves to win another race.
4:40 FLECKERAL was a horse we backed last race after a bit of information it turned out not to be his day but could make amends here at 11/1 that looks a decent price if the horse can recapture his old sparkle.
REDCAR 2:30 CURTSY 11/2 is the one for us here connections are expecting much better this race as they think the track will suit the horse to the tee so we are expecting a really big run.
