Andy Bell's Racing Diary

Monday 16th. Apologies for my late column last week as I just didn't have time and I'm sure none of you would of wished me to have missed a night out celebrating my victory in order to do my homework, 1000 lines accepted.

Now the Cheltenham dust has settled and after talking to many fellow tipsters what a stunning performance we put up in our Cheltenham special making over 50 points profit for all our followers, roll on next year and hopefully that will kick start my year that has been slower than ideal.

Obviously I would of liked a livelier start, but as you know the flat starts at the end of this month, I have already put two anti post bets out in the Lincoln and I intend killing it again with massive profits again as I did last year.

This week is going to be bit of a nothing week and I can see us treading water, until later on when we have a couple of Hunter Chasers.

Not a great deal happening today but we have a small ew bet on THE ROAD AHEAD at 17/2 and an ew double with the well in SHY JOHN at 10/3.

I have no plans to go racing this week, After my jolly jaunt last week I have an awful lot of catching up to do and I want to go down to Newmarket and get back in the swing of things and catch up with a few contacts.

Sean Bowen certainly earned his riding fee from his father as he never gave up and pushed the reluctant looking THE ROAD AHEAD for the last 2 miles only to not quite get up and get beaten a head on the line. We certainly didn't have a long drawn out death on SHY JOHN as he fell at the 1st.

The day wasn't all about ifs and buts as the LATE SERVICE had a good bet on OPTIMISTIC BIAS at 9/4 and he won at an incredible price of 4/1. The road ahead ew 17/2

BetFan Football

We talk about momentum in sport and we talk about momentum in betting. Take football betting, all matches are separate entities but when runs of winners come we feel there is a link, a winning one.

Well Tim Sherwood and Aston Villa suddenly feel that everything is linked that they are in the zone and at Betfan Football we are coming along for the ride. We got stuck into Villa against Sunderland in a game that was to cost Poyet his job and if Sunderland fans had got hold of him a lot more.

Sherwood is everything the dreary Paul Lambert was not. A bubbly positive character and I'm backing him to take 3 points against Swansea today. 6/4 with Bet365 seems fair enough so let's stay with Villa and see where it takes us.
