Hi %%First Name%%,

The Cheltenham Festival over and I have to say I never backed one single winner yet I enjoyed every minute of it. You see I'm not one of those punters who just talks through his pocket.

Although I do admit I did have up a £43 forecast at Lingfield that helped soften the blow.

With less than two weeks to the start of the flat season at Donny we have been told the the Flat jockeys championship will now run from May until mid October which is very much a positive step in my opinion.

I know most people will be saying it's between Hughes and Moore however I would love to see Graham Lee give them a run for their money. One thing for sure he will be top jockey in the North by a country mile.

Today's racing offers something for everybody with a nice jumping card up at Haydock and some decent polytrack racing at Chelmsford.

It's off to the Essex track in their opener the 2.20 that I have put up this weeks Howies Hottie in the shape of Avidly from the Julia Fielden yard.

Avidly is a well bred individual that she purchased on the cheap in France who has slipped down the weights to an attractive basement mark. I have been told by connections the horse did a very good bit of work recently and although a bit of a monkey I'm pleased to see George Baker has been booked to ride.

EYECATCHERS

ARTIFICIAL SURFACES

Moonday Sun trainer J.Butler - Adecent run at Chelmsford last week saw the gelding make the frame. Now on a winnable mark he should be watched closely especially if a top jockey is booked.

Mercury Magic trainer D.Menuisier - Never got a decent run up the inside at Wolverhampton and was stopped when trying to make ground. This horse is capable of getting off the mark in a low grade handicap.

Burren View Lady trainer D.G.Hogan - A winner at Dundalk last week when back off the boards. This another winning eyecatcher that can win again off a favouable rating.

JUMPERS

Don Cossack trainer G.Elliot - In my opinion an unluckey loser behind Tony McCoy's festival winner when he was hampered and then blundered two out. He finished strongly and is worth sticking with.

Hargam trainer N.Henderson - 3rd in the triumph on ground much to soft. When he gets a drier surface he can over turn the form.

Beltor trainer R.Stephens - Down the field in the triumph but came from a hopeless position before he ran on past beaten horses. He will show this was not his true form.

Imjoeking trainer Lucinda Russell - Looked like he just needed the race at Kempton on Saturday and will strip fitter next time out.

Back next Wednesday have a good week and be lucky.
