Well I hope you all got stuck into Ballyandy, what a coup that was.

I was there and it was the coldest and most miserable conditions I’ve ever seen on a Racecourse
but I felt a warm glow as I watched the queue of punters surround those horrid Bookmakers as they paid out again and again.

We went five winners in six bets this week on the Simon Holden Racing Club. BetFans top service in 2016 and I’m not in a hurry to give up that title in 2017 let me tell you. Big profits and big prices, do I hit losing runs, yes (how many tipsters tell you that).

If you’re the type who does a runner every time a losing run happens I can’t help you I’m afraid. But if you want to take a long term approach then I can, we murdered the Bookmakers last year and we are miles up this year.

Now I could go on all day about how brilliant I am (all weekend actually) but lets move forward and what a cracking days racing we have today.

The mighty Cue Card runs at Ascot but I have a sneaking suspicion based on his King George run that the old maestro is on the decline plus he is always better left handed. I certainly won’t be backing him at cramped odds lets hope I’m wrong and he wins and puts himself back in the Gold Cup shakeup. Many were awarding the Gold Cup to Thistlecrack after the King George, not now!!

Over at Haydock we have the Grand National and heres the great thing the weights for the National itself are out so nothing can go up. Yikes a pre Cheltenham handicap where all the horses are trying someone fetch the police. It’s a cracking race but I'm sticking with this columns favourite horse Vieux Lion Rouge from the Pipe yard who had a welcome winner yesterday. You will be surprised to hear I don’t fancy the horse in the great race itself as I don’t think he quite stays the trip but today is perfect. 15/2 with BetBright yes please and I’m backing him to win.

So join the Simon Holden Racing Club you know it makes perfect punting sense!

Have a great weekend, I’m back next week and rest assured no Willie Mullins horses were injured in the writing of this column.
