Hi ,

It’s quite amazing to think we are now just a month away from the Cheltenham Festival. The Willie Mullins camp have had their setbacks with injuries leading up to the Festival with last years Champion hurdler Annie Power out, dual Cheltenham winner Vantour fatally injured and now both Faugheen and Min added to the absentees.

For once it could be a year to look for outsiders with so many fancied horses on the missing list. One piece of advice I will give is to not take to much notice of this seasons form book as most trials have been run on very soft surfaces and come mid March on better ground form can be turned on its head.

I hope you all had a nice touch on last weeks Howies Hottie when Burtonwood trotted up at a very generous 14/1. It goes to prove the point time and time again betting all my hotties to level stakes you can’t go wrong as even if the next 13 were beaten you would still be in a profitable position.

Hopefully we won’t endure a losing run of that nature and who knows maybe this weeks tip can follow up. I have been looking at the opener at Kempton the 5.20 a bottom grade handicap over 10 furlongs and the one that catches my eye is Whip Up A Frenzy from Richard Rowes yard.

The gelding was rated much higher when running in Ireland and has dropped down to a mark of 45 less the 7lb claim of the jockey. I mean if it gets any lower he will drop out the bottom of the Racing Post.

It’s not certain what the horses best trip is but it should suit better than the 12 furlongs last time. I can tell you my brother Jack was at a golf dinner recently where Richard Rowe was guest speaker and Jack asked the trainer when Whip Up A Frenzy might be winning to which the trainer replied if we knew that we would all be millionaires. However I think this race is within his capabilities with the main danger possibly Smiley Bagel.

Before I sign off I just want to draw your attention to the Betfan App a super new tool that is ever so cool and full of info regards sports betting. There is even a fun quiz on there for your entertainment. So I advise everyone to download it to your phone to maximise your betting experience.
