It would appear that plenty of people took my advice on BRIAN HUGHES last week and with him landing a 176/1 sp 4 timer I guess there was a lot to celebrate. We are just delighted that so many people are not only reading our newsletter but that you are making profits from it.
Today’s newsletter will be pretty short and will from here just concentrate on the racing today.
Next week I may have another jumper to talk to you about. I’m heading to the stable on Thursday to watch it school and to pick the brains of the trainer. It’s a nice type and one I’ve had my eye on since it was bought in at the sales. Certainly well bred.
HORSES IN FOCUS
LINGFIELD There really isn’t much to get excited about here. We are going to suggest just one bet at the track it’s the outsider of the field yet there are reasons to think there is a possibility of the horse winning and that probability means that we have this horse priced up as value. The horse is LANDSCAPE and it’s 50/1 with a few bookmakers including William Hill. No doubt the stable form is a concern but the horse is thrown in on past marks and runs on ground that will suit. When the ground is heavy anything can happen. He has to be worth a hopeful each way bet and hope the ground will help.
Last year the horse was trained by Sheena West and was subject to a huge gamble along with 4 of Daniels other horses. Mainly because he has included them in multiples. Its actual chance of winning we make 12/1 so we couldn’t turn away 50/1! Especially as 2 runs ago (before a break) ran the best speed rating of his career and that rating was enough to put the horse top in this race.
NEWCASTLE 1:20 PATTIE is well fancied to win today. This full sister to HARRISON has come on again and home and connections feel she will handle the track 9/4 looks fair enough to us.
2:20 ZABEEL STAR ran behind DRACO last time. That looks like the best form on offer and has a speed rating to match. Undoubtedly well weighted today and showing a bit more zest for racing. He should go close today 4/1 in places is value for us. The horse should be close at the finish and may well win.
4:20 LOZAH 5/1 widely available is the horse for us here. Its last race where it got beaten by Table Manners was strong for the grade. We will see today if that theory was right as the next race on the card we back another horse from the same form line so we will be hoping this one hacks up.
4:50 ROZY RYAN 15/2 with Will Hill was 10 lengths behind Table Manners but didn’t get away well and just couldn’t pick up that day but she was well fancied and has been trained to win a race she will need some luck in running.
SOUTHWELL 1:25 FOR INSTANCE 3/1 is widely available. A very nice horse and working well at home. The race is tough and the horse is back from a break but he should know his job and is expected to go close today.
2:00 JUSTATENNAR 9/4 widely available has come on since joining Charlie and they are excited today to see what they have on their hands. Not huge in terms of value but an interesting runner.
3:30 ROYAL VILLAGE has been schooling really well at home and has shown plenty of signs that he’s a winner in waiting this too will be an interesting watch. 9/4 looks fine for what they think of him.
