6th July 2016

Hi ,

Tonight sees Wales take on Portugal in the first Euro semi final which is billed as the battle of the two Real Madrid stars Bale and Ronaldo. I’m sure it will be a good game and hopefully the Welsh boys can do the business.

I might have to put an E in my spelling of Davis to make myself a supporter and I do love Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Rob Bryden so that must count for something.

Most people are still moaning about the lack of attitude and commitment from the English team but it can’t be a coincidence when you hear stories of Jamie Vardy training on Red Bull, Raheem Sterling and karl Walker smoking the hubble bubble pipes, Deli Ali spending his time texting his girlfiend and Jack Wilshire having fights outside night clubs.

You have to think what a shower and perhaps a few years national service in the army might benefit them. The funny thing was that Sir Bobby Charlton was asked if he thought the 1966 World Cup winners could have beaten Iceland and he replied yes i think so 1-0.

Only one nil to which Sir Bobby replied well we are all in our seventies now.

Well with everyone resigning this week it was the turn of Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and Chris Evans from Top Gear. So what’s the betting on Arsene Wenger or even Jose Mourinho before the Premier Season kicks off as they both stated in the past they would like the England job.

We have a mixed bag of racing today and I quite like the look of the Yarmouth card so I’m playing Howies Hottie in the 2.40 a 14 furlong handicap. The tip is The Ducking Stool a mare who just loves it at this track as she is a 5 times winner at the seaside venue.

She looks on a reasonable rating and ran well last time so lets hope the old saying works for us horses for courses.

HOT HANDICAPPERS

FLAT

Icebuster trainer R.Millman - A good winner last time and can win again.

Novoman trainer W.Haggas - 3rd on debut and can improve when next hitting the track.

Both Sides trainer A.Balding - Never got a clear run last time and must go well on his next appearance.

Indian Chief trainer Rebbecca Bastiman - Won his last 2 races and seems back to his better form of a few year ago and could win another race.

JUMPERS

Pokari trainer A.Jones - Ran a remarkable race in a bumper coming from the back to finish like a train under hand and heels riding.

Back next Wednesday be lucky.
