, Wednesday's Free Tip...

11th May 2016

Hi ,

This week the racing world moves over to York for some more exciting racing and classic trials. I have to say on the betting front I had a magnificent week however I learnt nothing from the Chester classic trials.

Betting Opportunity and Fold4Gold both landed juicy big priced doubles to keep the profits rolling in. Mind you it can be a bit tricky on the turf when we have had a dry spell and then we have a cloud burst to soften the ground and turn form upside down.

This is one of the reasons I love the all-weather where the rain doesn’t affect the surfaces to any great degree and I for one can’t wait for the first flat card at Newcastle on the new polytrack surface.

Well last week we landed Howies Hottie when Sir Maximilian romped home and lets see if I can find us another decent tip. Last weeks winner was a shorter price but I’m never afraid of tilting at windmills.

As an example yesterday I put up a 50/1 chance on Betting Opportunity that finished out with the washing but you do the maths how many winners at that price do you need to make a tidy profit?

The sad thing is some clients who have only been with the service a short time think he isn’t much of a tipster and do a runner and can’t ask for a refund quick enough.

I hope I’m not referring to you as those type of people will never be satisfied or make a profit betting.

Anyway Howies Hottie is going in the 2.10 York on Bounarroti a decent middle distance handicapper who was once reckoned to be classic material by Aiden O’Brien. He should strip fitter for his last outing and any rain would help his cause.

What I will say is I expect him to be a massive price based on his last run but that won’t put me off nor should it you.

HOT HANDICAPPERS

Silver Concorde trainer D.Weld - Ran on strongly in the Chester Cup and could be well handicapped.

Monaco Rose trainer R.Fahey - Finished well at Chester on a course that might not have suited.

Gabriels Kaka trainer R.Fahey - He is still well weighted and would prefer a straight course and soft ground.

JUMPS

Gwaffa trainer P.Webber - Winner of the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock this brother to the yards Australia Day has more to offer.

Back next Wednesday be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
