So Leicester City have achieved the wonderful dream of winning the Premier League under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri who was once known as the tinkerman for changes he kept making with his team selections when with Chelsea. Only this time he left well alone and actually changed very little when he arrived to manage the Foxes.

One has to agree they have been the most consistent of all the teams with all their players giving 100% which is more than I can say for the two Manchester clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea.

I would now expect the big money clubs to spend like maniacs to try and win back the title that none of them deserved this season. Lets hope Leicester can hold on to Mahrez, Vardy and Kante and try and create a Champions League dream next year.

The forgotten man of course is Nigel Pearson who saved Leicester from relegation last season and laid the foundation for Ranieri to achieve this success. Lets hope he finds a decent club to manage before long as he has proved he knows his stuff.

We have a super days racing in store today at Chester with the highlight the Chester Cup with some top class staying handicappers in opposition however for Howies Hottie I’m going to plump for the 4.20 which is a 5 furlong listed event which has a very decent field of sprinters.

The selection is Sir Maximilian who will be ridden by Kieron Fallon. Maxi is the best rated of these and is also a course winner which is so important around the tight Chester turns. The gelding is a hold up performer so will need a little luck in running but I think with Fallon on top that shouldn’t be problem as along with Dettori and Ryan Moore they are the best three pilots to have on your side.

Pushkins Museum trainer R.Fahey - Ran well on ground softer than ideal last week and looks on a nice rating.

Sweet Selection trainer H.Morrison - Seemed to need her seasonal debut and will be fitter next time.

Lewisham trainer J.Jenkins - Seemed not to like the undulations of Chepstow and can get back to winning ways on a flatter track.

Lumiere trainer M.Johnston - Stone last in the 1,000 gns after setting a blistering early pace however don’t be fooled this a a very serious horse with pace to burn. I believe she should be followed on good ground where ever her trainer sends her regardless if it’s over the mile or back to sprinting.
