…because the big money, the big profit, the big value is in 2 legged sports.
Forgot the horses and the dogs, the real money is in team sports.
Here’s why…
1. High class team sports are clean and straight, despite what the papers may have you believe, matches play out to form.
There’s no running at the wrong distance to get a handicap mark.
2. Because of this the bookies will stand a decent bet, even if you are restricted for horses you can often still get a footy bet on.
3. There are huge databases of form available, covering every imaginable aspect of the sports.
This means that if you have the time to study this form and interpret it you can find huge value bets.
Committed punters can out study the oddsmakers and find the ricks in their prices.
Last week James Pacheco found a bet that he had priced as even money or shorter, but the bookies had it at 3/1. That’s huge value and would’ve been a great bet whether it won or lost, the fact that it won added to the thrill.
Which brings me onto…
4. There are huge value bets available in the 2.0 to 4.0 range.
This means a higher strike rate from value bets, so losing runs are much shorter and profits are still high.
This helps hugely with mindset and money management and makes sports betting far less stressful than racing.
