DO YOU HAVE TO BET TO WIN ON HORSE RACING?

I am a professional gambler who also offers my win bet tips to Bet Kudos followers on a 'pay as you win' basis? My service is free to join and you pay £20 if the selection wins but nothing if the selection does not win.

On the gambling front only about 10 per cent of my personal bets are win only. The other 90 per cent of bets coming from a variety of horse racing bets available to punters. I will go through some of them below but there will be others I don't cover but of interest to you.

PLACE ONLY

Lots of Bookmakers now offer 'place only' bets but you need to shop around as prices vary. You obviously need to be careful what you are doing here but let's say there are eight runners in a race and one gets taken out you still get three places as long as you placed the bet before the non-runner was taken out of the race....less rule 4 of course.

This is a good way of winning decent money and I look for consistent horses usually in non-handicap races who look certain of hitting the three places in the race.

Sometimes Paddy Power offers place bets 1,2,3 in races of 6 or 7 runners....that's good news for me. Some bookies but not all will take 'place doubles or place trebles' that can be great news for very selective punters. I have had 'Place only Trixie' bets....3 doubles and 1 treble.

You must consider these bets if you are serious about winning...eg recent bets of mine:-

What Happens Now - finished second of six runners at Bangor....my bet £350place at 4/7 places 1,2,3 profit £200..good bet.
 
Saniyat - third of six runner recently at Windsor....bookie offer 2/5 place only 1,2,3...my stake £600 the return was £840....profit £240...good bet.

Place only will not suit all betting budgets but if you are a 'big player' like me then ignore these bets at your peril! Also I have had bets refused, accounts closed and restricted bets....the bookies offer these bets but do not like a client winning on a regular basis. bet365 only offer their place terms on their website and nowhere else.

MATCH BETS

Another very profitable way of making money. It two horses with the winner being the horse who finishes in front of the other. I a case where they don't finish at all then over the sticks it's the one who completes most of the race e.g. Horse A falls at fence one and horse B falls at fence 2 then horse B is the winner as it got further than horse A. So this can be very lucrative but shop round as prices vary.

Recent bets of mine are:-

Slumming Angel v Tara's Way ....£300 Slumming Angel at 8/11....return £518...profit £218.

Myboyhenry v Tiepolo .....Myboyhenry was a big fancy and I had £1500 at 8/11 ....he duly beat Tiepolo comfortably at Brighton ...return £2590 ....profit £1090.

These match bets are a big money spinners but need to be sourced properly. 

There are many other bets to consider such as:-

• Betting without favourite.
• Insure Bet 3 places....if your horse is placed you get your stake back.
• Forecasts
• Tricasts

Etc, etc, etc the list is endless but is always an opportunity for someone!

I have told you how I make money...very well is the answer AND no taxman to worry about. It's not dreaming to say £50,000 per year is distinctly possible if you study form, trainers, jockeys, going and all other aspects of racing.
