Saturday's FREE Tip Is Ready...

26th September 2015

Hi ,

It's great to have Ryan Moore back in action this weekend and it's a bit of a bonus really as he returns a bit sooner than many of us anticipated.

He'll obviously be looking forward to partnering Gleneagles, either on Champions Day in three weeks time or the Breeders Cup Classic.

The Ballydoyle horse has had a bit of a Lord Lucan type existence lately, and it was greatly disappointing that he wasn't allowed line up against Golden Horn and company in the Irish Champion Stakes.

Mind you Found deputised very well, a staying on second in that dramatic and controversial finish.

She has always looked like a mile and a half horse and she might get a chance to prove it in the Arc.

Treve obviously casts a long shadow, and if she produces her "A game" then the only question will be what will finish second to her.

That said New Bay was mighty impressive in the Prix Neil.

Andre Fabre's rapid improver could give Treve plenty to think about as the wonder filly bids to complete an Arc hat-trick.

Legatissimo is another for Moore to look forward to.

David Wachman's filly is a bit special for sure - but even money for the Breeders Cup Filly & Mares at Keeneland is a crazy price.
The 1,000 Guineas winner has had a long season to say the least.

After Newmarket she was pipped in both the Oaks at Epsom and the Pretty Polly at The Curragh.

With Moore absent Wachman's main jockey Wayne Lordan was aboard as she resumed winning ways in the Nassau and the Matron Stakes.

She certainly thrives on racing, no question about that and Wachman certainly knows the time of day.

But I would just be afraid that the edge might be gone off her slightly by the time she lines up in Kentucky on Halloween Night.

I hope to be proved wrong, but certainly won't be lumping on at evens.

Moore will be looking forward to getting the leg up again on sharp juvenile Air Force Blue, while Order Of St George and unlucky type Bondi Beach are interesting Melbourne Cup contenders.

It's a cruel blow to the Jessica Harrington team that the stables jumping star Jezki is ruled out for the season.
With Barry Geraghty now the J P McManus number one jock, there was more reason than ever to be looking forward.

For whatever reason Geraghty seemed to get on better than A P McCoy with the 2014 Champion Hurdler.

The Meath jockey must have been particularly looking forward to renewing the partnership but in any event they won't be bidding for Ladbrokes World Hurdle glory this season.

That will certainly tempt the Willie Mullins camp to steer Annie Power in the direction of that Festival Thursday three miler in which she was second in 2014.

The Mares Hurdle on the opening day would look a penalty kick despite that last flight mishap last March.

But don't rule out the Stan James Champion Hurdle, Faugheen or no Faugheen.

By all accounts Rich Richie took some persuading not to head for the Champion last season and now that she's a year older the temptation will be even greater.

Faugheen would look to hold all the aces, the only caveat to that snug theory might be that Willie Mullins - and Paul Townend - genuinely believed that Hurricane Fly would beat him last March.

There may have been a touch of the heart ruling the head there, and of course at times last season the Hurricane looked very much the force of old.

Ruby Walsh was surprised a bit by the recent decision to retire him but was not complaining as he is happy that he bows out while still at, or very near, the top of his game.

Speaking of the Champion Hurdle it's interesting to note that Nigel Twiston-Davies has not the slightest intention of sending The New One over fences.

The Champion is still very much the target, and he looks a bit over priced at 20/1, and even 25/1 with 888Sport.

Hopefully those who follow my daily tips on Bet Kudos took the 9/2 advised on Sanus Per Aquam in the Tattersalls Stake at Newmarket on Thursday.

Mind you, he took a while to get his bearings, and in truth looked well cooked for a long way.

But he got there in the end, and he looks a typical Jim Bolger sort, classy and tough as nails.

Incredibly he's still 33/1 for the Dewhurst with both Boylesports and Stan James.

Granted he won't travel over if the ground is in any way soft, and late in the season that's clearly a risk.

But that price is surely worth taking considering his trainer's remarkable record in the race.

His stablemate Herald The Dawn is as low as 10/1 with Coral even though Bolger has made it clear more than once that "Sanus" is his main Dewhurst option.

Trainers have been known to change theirs minds of course (remember New Approach re-entering the Epsom Derby picture very late in the day) but again at 33/1 it's a chance worth taking.

The Betfred Cesarewitch is on the same day - this day fortnight - and Thomas Edison remains very much the recommendation for this.

I thought most of the value had been hoovered up, and, not surprisingly with Tony Martin and J P McManus involved, the bookies are certainly few chances.

Yet he's still 14/1 on Betway and there was some 17/1 - admittedly to small money - available on Betfair Exchange yesterday.

Back next Saturday.
