Sunday's FREE Tip Is Ready...

13th September 2015

Hi ,

Last week I urged you to get with the Don for Doncaster and many of you did!

Well you would have been glad with over 80 points of profit on the week and big winners and profit every day culminating in the first past the post Leger winner!! (don’t worry we all got paid on double result)

After giving the Ebor winner at 50/1 The Don was coming into this week in form and looking for big prices well they certainly came with Bashiba, California and others culminating in a monster max bet win on Simple Verse to win Leger at 9/1 yes max win bet!!!

Doncaster put on a great Festival and year on year they get closer and closer to York but such comparisons are pointless this is a brilliant racecourse on its own merit and this is a great week of top class racing on a very fair track. There shouldn’t be hard luck stories on the town Moor, it's wide and level and has a long straight.

It's a big enough track to always be able to find some space and for us paddock watchers it's ideal because the parade ring is right in front of the course so there is none of the dashing to get a pitch to see the race needed.

The boys in Blue from Godolphin have had a good week and I would urge you to keep an eye on their horses for the next few weeks they all look gleaming. Charlie Appleby is becoming a very good Trainer and I think he will bring Godolphin back to the very top.

Emotionless was a max bet for us in the Champagne Stakes which kicked off proceedings yesterday and I urged my members to get on sharpish at 10/11. I also told them that this horse would win this before racing in Group 1’s and how highly he was rated. To tut it bluntly I was told this is the best horse this yard has had in years and they are getting very excited by his work. He made a good solid group field look very slow and Mr Buick spent most of the race looking around before he pressed the button. His dam was a grade 1 winner and his breeding suggests a mile maybe a bit more will be his trip next year. We may see him back here in the Racing Post trophy but I suspect the Dewhurst will be the next port of call for this stunning looking horse. It will take avery special 2 year old to lower his colours.

I bumped into Henry Candy by the pre parade ring and to describe the old boy as downbeat is an understatement. He was desperate for Limato to run but the way he was talking you would have thought the horse would run ten yards and pull up. I always felt that Candy was a little over protective of this horse and so it proved when the horse left a group 2 field for dead. This horse is a little superstar and Candy looked gobsmacked, I suspect that the owners may now be gently questioning the old boy for constantly pulling him out of races which now look like he would have won. The word after was we will see him in Paris on Arc Day. Candy has now won two big group races on two consecutive Saturdays and is enjoying an Indian Summer to his Training Career and it's richly deserved.

We then came to the Leger and what I feel is the most disgraceful decision we have seen on a British Racecourse in twenty years. I put my members onto Simple Verse yesterday morning at 9/1 such was the confidence I had in the horse. Now it's important to state my members got paid because of double result so it's not pocket talking. I go racing on average three to four times a week and let me share with you I’ve seen horses do far more than the minor interference caused here and keep the race with the jockey getting a ban. For some reason here with Coolmore involved the Stewards took the unusual decision to reverse the decision. Now if this bizarre decision is a sign of a change of policy I Look forward to seeing all sorts of decisions overturned through minor interference but I won’t hold my breath. Bondi Beach was clearly pinning Simple Verse in but they seemed disinterested in that. I repeat I got paid out and my members did so it's not pocket talking.

I saw Simon Holden shortly after the race and he rightly pointed out the lack of consistency as at York Bondi Beach himself got carried across the track by Storm The Stars and the stewards declined to do anything. This made Racing look very silly on the highest stage and if they do not introduce a national body of stewards and standardise decisions then we will be the laughing stock of international racing if we are not already. Ralph Beckett passed me in tears and must feel sickened he said they would appeal and I hope they win.

Today the show goes to the Curragh and our favourite 2 year old Air Force Blue is back in the 4.15. You know how highly I rate him and the word is he is bouncing, take the 5/4 with William Hill and prepare to see something a bit special!!!

We are riding high in the BetFan chart and I gave you full warning of the Doncaster Jamboree that was coming and I am telling you now we will bag plenty more over the coming months. So what are you going to do?

Trust in the Don he’s the Classic winning number one!

Back next Sunday.
