Wednesday's FREE Tip Is Ready...

9th September 2015

Hi ,

I don't know about you but i get rather hot under the collar when the media go on about Wayne Rooney breaking Sir Bobby Charltons England goal scoring record as if he was one of the greats of the game.

Sir Bobby was one of the best and most skillful players I have ever seen and apart from being a World cup winner he helped Man Utd become the best team in Europe during his playing era.

We all know Rooney is a quality footballer but never a great at least until he helps England to win a trophy or Man Utd to conquer the Champions League.

In fact I would go as far as to say there are so many ex Man Utd players who were on a different planet to our Wayne including Georgie Best, Dennis Law, Eric Cantona and the great Sir Bobby Charlton.

So come on Wayne Rooney it's all very well being called great by the Daily Mirror but now it's time to go and prove it on the pitch.

Today sees the start of the Doncaster St Leger meeting and it's great to have some top class racing to get excited about this week.

Howies Hottie goes at the main meeting in Donnys 4.10 which is a competitive 7 furlong handicap. The tip is Brian Meehans Sulaalaat who is ridden by Paul Hannigan.

The filly ran well at Royal Ascot but blotted her copy book last time at Newmarket. Meehan puts a pair of blinkers on the filly and I expect her to be up with the pace from the start and be competitive over the trip that should suit her.

EYE-CATCHERS

FLAT

Buanarroti trainer D.Caroll - The gelding finished 2nd at Haydock behind a classy type and should be capable of picking up a race before long.

The Ducking Stool trainer Julia Fielden - This mare was also 2nd at Haydock on Saturday and only just lost out in a tight finish. Her favourite track is Yarmouth so look out for her when she runs at the seaside venue.

B Fifty Two trainer C.Hills - He made up a lot of late ground after a slow start and could be considered an unlucky loser.

Kashmir Peak trainer J.Quin - Noted staying on strongly last week after a long lay off. This horse should be followed either on the flat or over hurdles.

Back next Wednesday have a good week and be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
