Wednesday's FREE Tip Is Ready...

26th August 2015

Hi ,

Well we are three games into the Premiership Season and Man City have put down an impressive marker. Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal have all failed to impress however things can change very quickly especially in this final week of the transfer window.

It would not surprise me to see a couple of record buys this week to try and stop City from building up a decent lead at the top of the table. I expect Man Utd to try and pull out all the stops for Gareth Bale, Chelsea for John Stones and the one that might surprise you is Arsenal making a late move for Zlatan Ibrahimovich as they can pick him up for peanuts and only have to pay his massive wages.

Talking about wages what do you think of Jermain Defoe placing an ad in the paper for an assistant to be at his beck and call 24/7 so she can look after his business interest, his family, create a global brand for him, produce Defoe's own iPhone app, book his holidays, water his plants etc, etc.

The guy earns 70 grand a week as just a decent player yet wants to pay the happless P.A. 60K a year to work around the clock.

Lets get back to the real world with todays racing which to me in the main is a bit of a mine field with all the heavy rain we are having. So for Howies Hottie I'm off to Lingfields Polytrack for the lucky last at 5.25.

I'm going to row in on Dean Ivorys Duke of Dunton who has been running well over slightly longer trips. In fact the gelding only ran a few days ago when finishing 5th at Kempton.

As long as the horse has recovered he will take his chance at the Surrey venue where he runs off bottom weight. The danger could well be Kicking the Can who has the better of the draw and has dropped down the ratings and perhaps the best bet might even be to dutch them (have a single bet on them both) and of course the reverse forecast for a bit of fun.

EYE-CATCHERS

Another 2 winners this week with Ballesteros and Trimoulet.

FLAT RACING

Ballesteros trainer R.Fahey - I have been banging on about this one for ages and he won at Chester on Saturday after making all the running. He is still on a winning mark and can win again when the muds flying.

Speculator trainer D.Menuisier - He showed a good turn of foot to win on the polytrack and could be ahead of the handicapper.

Perkunas trainer B.Meehan - I know Brian was disappointed he didn't win at York last week however it was a very hot maiden and the form could well work out.

Suegioo trainer MBotti - Finished strongly in the Ebor which is a distance short of his best. The gelding must be monitored when running over longer trips.

One Word More trainer T.Easterby - Noted running on at York after not getting a clear passage. I can tell you I will be a Dutchman if this gelding doesn't win this season and I have no intention of changing my name to Van Persie.

Saint Helena trainer M.Gillard - She showed improved form earlier this week at Kempton and should pick up a race for new connections.

Back next Wednesday have a good week and be lucky.

Howard Davis-Shaw.
