Anyone who has read any of the perceived wisdom on profitable betting on horse racing will be aware that selectivity and specialisation are often put forward as being the key to success.
Early Odds is a service that proves that, safe as the above advice is, there is clearly more than one way to skin the bookmakers proverbial cat.
With an average of just under 5 selections per day covering all types of races and a level stake profit of 92.37 pts in just 2 months, this service is perhaps the best illustration I have seen of successful betting based on value. So many of the recommended prices have been significantly better than Starting Price that the authors claim of being better able to price up races than the bookmakers rings very true.
The return on investment for the review period of 31.85% is an excellent return over 290 bets. The beauty of this service is that with so many bets being advised at such a high ROI you can multiply your betting bank quickly. The return on capital for the review period is 76.98% which equates to an annual ROC of 461.88%. In other words if this performance level is maintained a starting bank of £1,200 for £10 level stake bets would become £6,742 in just one year, which is a staggering return for £10 stakes.
And there is no reason to believe that the performance level is unsustainable as the results proofed to Betfan since November actually show even better returns than this with average monthly profits around 70 points instead of the 46 achieved in the review.
The returns achieved in the review period are very impressive despite the service suffering its longest downswing since it began proofing, with 36 points lost from May 21st to June 7th. With over 1,1oo selections made and a biggest downswing of 36 points, I am satisfied that the suggested betting bank of 120 points is more than adequate to cover any losing runs.
The admin support for this service is excellent too. I had an issue early in the review period in not receiving a couple of emails (in fact the review results should be even better as I missed 3 selections including a 5/1 winner). I contacted admin support on a Sunday night and they had responded and set me up as a new user within 2 hours.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this service to Geegeez users but there are a couple of things to consider before deciding if it's for you;
You need several bookmaker accounts (preferably with BOG) to get the best from this service. There is plenty of juice in the recommended prices - you could still make an ROI of around 10% by taking a point under best price on all selections - but you wouldn't make much at SP or even Betfair SP and there's not much liquidity on the exchanges to take a price the night before the race. It's crucial to take an early price, ideally BOG and as close to the recommended price as possible.
You need to act quickly once the bets are sent out/posted on the website as some of the prices disappear quickly. The problem with this is that there is no set time for this. Initial selections for the next day are usually sent out/posted between 8pm and 10pm with instructions on whether there will be a further email later that evening with more selections (usually around 10pm). You are always advised to check regularly during the day for further bets. So you need to keep an eye on your inbox, or regularly visit the website to check for updates. You can pay £4.95 per month for a text service which advises when more bets are posted (but not the bets themselves) should you find that more convenient.
If neither of the above are dealbreakers for you and you don't mind betting every day, sometimes with as many as 12 selections then this service is highly recommended for you and I am delighted to award it a maximum score of 5/5.
