6th June 2015

Hi %%First Name%%,

Andy Bell's Racing Diary (Sun 31st May - Fri 5th June 2015)

End Of A Good Profitable Month.

Sunday 31st. Last day of a cracking month for both my services, although we did have to endure a losing day yesterday. Why ever did the Henry Candy team run LIMATO on the rain softened ground at Haydock. Even the good Doctor couldn't get us a winner last night at Chepstow and when that happens you know it's not your day.

It was the big wedding last night and gosh what a glorious show they put on, the church sermon was like pulling teeth though with the victor, pastor or whatever is his preferred title rattling on for over an hour, but from then onwards it was truly amazing.

From the time we arrived at the reception the canopies were continually brought round and whatever drink was your preferred was on tap all night. The girl singer should of represented Malta in the Eurovison's last week, well us as well come to that, where ever did we find our dribble from, surely we have better out there.

Anyway many thanks to Jessica, Dennis and their respective families as it was a wonderful day and a great experience.

Back to reality this morning as we still have a living to make and hopefully the two we have to back today LA MADONNIA at Fakenham, who I'm told is a good 2/1 shot and CONAS TAIO who is a cracking ew bet at 6/1 will help our tireless quest for profits, also we should pop them in a small ew double.

After many years of visiting Malta we have come to know that Sunday's are bit of a cult religion, all the ladies dress in their finest, tightest and highest heels and parade themselves through the market and finally come to rest in the square, at Vince's bar or the Pjazza (Sunday bar) to take the weight off their feet, yes literally for most of them as "most" Maltese ladies could give Man v Food a run for his money, note Grat most not all.

Anyway we always rock up at the Sunday bar about 11ish to witness the parade and partake in the masses of nibbles that constantly appear, not just one bowl of left over roast potatoes, if your lucky like home, but plates and plates of chicken wings, pizza, pasta, snails, tripe, chips and Italian tomatoed bread. This continues until about 3ish and all of a sudden it's siesta time and the place is empty.

I get back to our digs to see that bastard last fence at Fakenham has done us again, we had the race well and truly won with LA MADONNIA, when she got it all wrong and fell, gutted or what. The rain had got into the ground and blunted CONAS TAIO's chances of a win but the information was correct as he was smashed up in the betting into 11/4 fav, but he did get us a place and a small ew profit unfortunately our ew double lay on the floor at the last with LA MADONNIA.
