Sunday Issue

24th May 2015

Hi %%First Name%%,

The Don spent three lovely days at Goodwood this week and was reminded of how stunningly beautiful the track was and how awful the track is and lastly most importantly how bloody difficult it is to find winners.

My fellow Newmarket resident David Simcock has his team in great form and his more The Corsican was a very good winner of a strong field yesterday. This was by far the performance of his life and The Don urges you to notebook him, he may well have some fancy entries now and he may just be up to winning them the way he powered up the home straight.

Just before leaving for home the Don ventured to the on course betting shop to watch Amazour up at Haydock who we had max betted. He bolted up again and as I told my members yesterday morning he will win this and then go on to much better things. At home he works well with a very highly rated horse who is much higher than his handicap mark. Take the hint he is good and The Don will be fascinated to see where he goes next which may well be back at Haydock I'm told!!

Ah how long ago does a week feel and that quality UK Sunday card at Ripon. I said the BHA would hold an enquiry into how one had slipped through the net and to be fair to the much maligned race planners this week they have come roaring back with not one or two but three garbage jumps meetings.

Lets avoid them and go over to The Curragh where a horse The Don has been waiting for reappears. The horse is Tribal Beat and is 7/4 with Paddy Power in the 1.40. On a trip to Ireland The Don was informed of this one and duly awaited his debut on day 1 of the season. The ground was heavy that day and all in all he ran well after missing the break and hitting traffic problems. Since then that race has thrown up winners and Bolger has backed off this horse and waited for better ground. He is still held in high regard at home and I'm having a good bet on him today to start to show us in public what he shows at home.

So concentrate on the Flat and Trust in the Don theres a reason he's A number 1.

Back next Sunday.
